Pitching Ideas for A New Crime Drama
Name: The Chaser

Type of Crime Drama: Psycholgical/ Action: A team of U.S Marshals chase after high end criminals and attempt to catch them by:  following up on leads, phone tapping, psychological analysing etc.
Characters: Lead Characters are 1 Troubled Hero, Fighter Type Female and 1 Focused, Determined, Slightly Arrogant Male,
With a team of other characters including:
A technology genius (Tall, African-American, Male),
A By the Books Ex-Policeman (Medium Height Female, Short Brown Hair, Love Interest to Lead Male),
A Former Soldier (Short, Army Cut Hair, Scars White Male),
& an Ex-Lawyer Turned Crime Enthusiast (Female, Lots of experience, Older [50’s] Keeps the younger crime fighters in check).
With help from professionals such as policemen and other crime solving units.
Structure of Show: Series, 20 episodes, 1 hour, with final two episodes being two-part episodes that are 2 hours long each.
Typical Narrative: Omniscient Narrative, You find out the offender at the beginning of the episode, the team spend the length of the episode tracking him or her down using various methods of deduction.
Setting: Partly office (Whilst the find out the offender and track them down), Streets (they head to the streets often throughout the program as they find leads and other clues to tell them who the killer is), Urban.
Style: Glamorous (Bright, Sunny America), Humorous (Funny characters, co-existing with sombre characters, to create an awkward yet funny atmosphere)
Scheduling: 9:00 – 10:00 every Monday On Sky 1, Repeated At 11:00 – 12:00 every Sunday On Sky 2 (Just in case you need refreshing before the next episode).
Target Audience: Young Adults – Adults, People who enjoy crime novels and other crime shows, A, B & C1.
Similar Shows: Chase
USP:  You find out the offender at the start and instead of going and getting him, they have to predict his next move.
